Holliston's Pack 47 is sponsored by the Holliston Lions Club. Our pack is very active, and conducts fun, family-oriented year-round activities for kids between Kindergarten & 5th grade.
We typically hold our Pack Meetings in the Placentino School Auditorium on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7-8pm from September to June. Some exceptions to meeting dates and locations are made depending on our Pack Meeting program and other school events. Any changes to meeting dates and/or location will be noted on the Pack Calendar and in the Calendar section of this website.
If you have a child interested in scouting, it is never too late to sign up. If you would like more information about Pack 47, please feel free to email us at hollistonpack47@gmail.com.
Cub Scouts Belong to Packs and Dens.
As a Cub Scout, you will be part of your own pack. The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. All of the Cub Scouts in your den are in the same grade.
Holliston's Cub Scout pack is sponsored by the Holliston Lions Club.
This group makes sure your pack has good adult leaders, a place to meet, and exciting things to do. The group gets help from the Boy Scouts of America, which is part of Scouting around the world.
Cub Scouts Go Places and Do Things.
Cub Scouting means "doing." You have lots to do as a Cub Scout—crafts, games, sports, songs, stories, and puzzles, to name a few things. Much of the fun happens right in the den and pack. We usually meet twice a month, once as a den and once as a pack. At den meetings and pack meetings, Cub Scouts do different things for fun and learning. You might also build a pinewood derby car and race it on the track. Some of the annual activities that Holliston's Pack 47 organize include hiking, fishing, camping & more!
Cub Scouts Earn Awards.
Each time you complete an accomplishment or learn a new skill, you will be rewarded. Sometimes the reward is a bead or a patch. Sometimes it is a smile on your parents' faces to see you grow and learn.
Lion Scouts is a fun introduction to the Scouting program for kindergarten-age youth eager to get going! Lions do adventures with their adult partners and other Lions every month. This program introduces youth and their families to Scouting and the outdoors as it builds a foundation of character. Everything as a Lion is done with an adult partner.
A Tiger Scout and his parent or guardian join the den and attend all meetings and activities together. Scouts work on Family Activities, Den Activities, and Go See It Activities.
A Wolf Scout works on achievements to earn the Wolf Badge. Each achievement is designed to teach simple skills and initiate family discussion.
A Bear Scout works to complete achievements to earn his Bear Badge. These achievements continue to teach simple skills and promote interest in the world around him.
A Webelos Scout works on requirements for the Webelos Badge, activity pins, and the Arrow of Light the highest award in Cub Scouting.
